Childcare Survey (30/13)

The Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS), a federal government body, is currently undertaking research with parents about the types of childcare arrangements for both pre-school and school-aged children.

The AIFS is particularly keen to hear views from parents whose work involves non-standard or irregular hours, such as police officers, about how they currently balance work and family commitments and what kind of childcare options they would like to see in the future.

Information covering all aspects of this survey, including assurances on privacy and confidentiality, is set out in AIFS material that you can view on our website by clicking HERE and HERE.

The Police Association encourages you to participate in this research as it will provide valuable information about what our members want when it comes to childcare arrangements that best suits their needs.

The information gathered from this research will also assist the Association’s push towards securing the best possible range of childcare options being made available to suit the needs of our members in the future.

The survey is conducted over the telephone with an AIFS officer and takes around 30 minutes. The AIFS will post you a $20 voucher should you participate.

If you wish to participate in this important research, simply call the AIFS on 1800 352 275 to arrange a confidential phone interview.
