EBA pay rise from 1 July (13/13)

From this Monday, July 1, members will receive their fourth pay rise under the current enterprise agreement we negotiated in late 2011.

Despite this increase, we strongly urge all members to be vigilant when checking that the salary you’re receiving is correct. Unfortunately, many members have been underpaid because they’ve been placed on the wrong salary increment. Similarly, some members are occasionally overpaid, which then involves the inconvenience of repaying the amount to the Force.

If you’re unsure whether you’ve been placed on the correct salary increment, please call our Industrial Relations Section for guidance and advice on (03) 9468 2600 or check the salary calculator via our website or smartphone app, TPAV Assist.

As a result of the July 1 salary increase, there will be a small rise to members’ Association subscription fees, in line with our Constitution. Members’ fortnightly subs will increase by 55 cents. This rise will take effect from the pay date scheduled for 11 July 2013.

As the financial year draws to a close, it is timely to remind members that 100 per cent of your Police Association subscriptions are tax deductable. To assist you claim your 2012/13 Association subs as a tax deduction, a tax statement will soon be posted to you together with your updated TPAV membership card.
