Health insurance discounts for all members (03/13)

The Police Association is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with three of Australia’s largest health funds; Medibank Private, BUPA and HCF.

These three participating private health funds are offering special corporate rates to Association members, which, in most instances, will help drive down the cost of private health insurance premiums available for members while enabling them to get more back when making a claim.

Of course, which of the three funds offers the best deal for you and your family is a matter for you to assess and decide.

Simply compare the information made available by all three funds on the Police Association website - www.tpav.org.au - and go from there.

If you’re already a member of one of these funds and wish to take advantage of a better deal offered by the same fund, you can do so. Simply contact your fund to make the change.

According to standard industry practice, if you are already a member of a health fund and are intending to switch to another, you should not have to re-serve the waiting period for services you are currently covered for from your existing insurer. That said, you should always confirm this important point with your new insurer.

Members are reminded that come April 1, 2013 private health insurance premiums will experience a price rise. Lock in the cheaper premium this month to gain further savings come 1 April.

As is the case with all discount offers available to Police Association members, the Association does not receive any commission or any other kind of financial benefit if members take up an offer from any one of the three health funds. We have engaged with the insurers to provide you with additional benefits for your Association membership.
