Child care flexibility pilots: EOI DATE EXTENDED (06/13)

The cut-off date has been extended to 17 May 2013. We encourage you to register your interest asap to ensure places are made available.

As you may be aware, more flexible childcare will soon become available for police members working regular night shifts and weekends.

From July 1 this year, police members working and/or living in Casey, Bayside, Wyndham and Cardinia can participate in the Government’s child care flexibility pilot program. This program will provide more flexible childcare using family day care services, which are home-based and government-regulated.

It is also important to note, that members living or working outside of these areas are also welcome to put their names down for the trial sites (providing you are willing to utilise services in the trial sites).

While this trial may not provide a total solution to all your challenges in trying to juggle police work and child care and may not represent a suitable alternative to every family or budget, we nevertheless encourage you to learn more about what’s being offered in the trial.

The cut-off date has now been extended to Friday 17 May 2013. We therefore encourage you to register your interest as soon as possible to ensure places are made available.

For more information, view the dedicated child care webpage on the Association’s website, www.tpav.org.au

If you wish to register your interest, please send your contact details (including suburb and postcode) to flexibility@fdca.com.au
