Queensland Police Officer killed on duty: Senior Constable Brett FORTE

As you may be aware, Queensland police officer, Senior Constable Brett Forte was tragically killed on Monday after he as he was pursuing an offender while on duty with the Toowoomba Tactical Crime Squad.

On behalf of the Victorian policing community our thoughts and prayers go out to Brett’s family, friends, and all our brothers and sisters in blue in the extended Queensland policing family.

Brett is survived by his wife, Susan, also a serving police officer, and their three children.

It is in these times that the strength of the wider policing community across the country is fortified, as we rally together to support Brett’s family, his loved ones, and his police colleagues and friends impacted by this tragic loss.

A remembrance fund has been established, the purpose of which is to raise funds that will go toward supporting Brett’s family.

The Police Association of Victoria will donate $11,000 to this fund, being the equivalent of the TPAV death benefit payable to our members.
